What is peptide purity testing?
Peptide purity testing measures the percentage of a sample that is the intended peptide versus impurities such as truncated sequences, deletion products and side reactions. Purity is typically determined by reversed-phase HPLC-UV, and identity is confirmed by LC-MS. A complete peptide COA reports both.

HPLC-UV vs LC-MS: what's the difference?
HPLC-UV separates the peptide from its impurities and quantifies each peak by UV absorbance — it answers "how pure is this sample?" LC-MS measures the mass of what's in the sample — it answers "is this actually the peptide on the label?"
