Frequently asked

Peptide testing, answered.

What is peptide purity testing?

Peptide purity testing measures the percentage of a sample that is the intended peptide versus impurities such as truncated sequences, deletion products and side reactions. Purity is typically determined by reversed-phase HPLC-UV, and identity is confirmed by LC-MS. A complete peptide COA reports both.

How much does peptide purity testing cost and how fast is it?

Peptide purity testing at Florida Chemical is a flat $199.00 per sample, with a standard turnaround of 24–48 hours from sample receipt. Extended tests (identity by LC-MS, content/assay, heavy metals, residual solvents) are quoted separately — see the full services page.

HPLC-UV vs LC-MS: what's the difference?

HPLC-UV separates the peptide from its impurities and quantifies each peak by UV absorbance — it answers "how pure is this sample?" LC-MS measures the mass of what's in the sample — it answers "is this actually the peptide on the label?" Together they cover identity and purity, and Florida Chemical reports both on every peptide COA. See our HPLC-UV vs LC-MS explainer.

How do I verify a Florida Chemical COA?

Every certificate we issue is publicly searchable. Enter the accession number, company name, product or lot in our COA Lookup, or read our guide on how to read your Certificate of Analysis.

Do you offer third-party testing for peptide vendors?

Yes. As an independent ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory we do not sell the products we test, which makes our results defensible to your customers. Learn more about our third-party peptide testing program for vendors.
